Set in a most desirable village ideally located for Telford and Wolverhampton, Albrighton offers easy access to the motorway links of the M54 and M6. The development offers six luxury, 5 bedroom detached houses, situated conveniently just off the High Street in the heart of the village with all necessary amenities.
Originally known in the 14th centurt as Albryghtone, the village
emerged from the vast forest of Berwood, as early as 591 AD, when
Albric and his followers settled here after the Battle of Wednesbury.
Close to the site, is St. Mary Magdalene church which was completed
around 1181. Built of red sandstone with a heavily buttressed Norman
tower, the church is home to a 13th century tomb-chest, a 14th century
east window and also houses a silver salver from HMS Albrighton.
The houses are sympathetically built to reflect the ambiance of
the village surroundings and complement the ajoining conservation
area. The project is expected to commence in Summer 2004.
